People have a common concept that using CNC equipment can achieve high precision and efficiency. Moreover, among similar devices, imported and high-end configurations have higher precision and production efficiency.
However, CNC flame or plasma cutting machines are completely different. Whether it is CNC flame cutting or plasma cutting, the width of the cutting edge is affected by various factors such as the cutting nozzle. Regardless of the accuracy of the equipment itself, the accuracy of the parts cut by it is generally around ± 0.5mm, which is several orders of
magnitude higher than the equipment itself. Even the CNC iron core cutting machine imported with millions of dollars can only be like this.
This is determined by the cutting process of flame or plasma, and it is impossible to achieve the same high machining accuracy as other CNC equipment such as CNC lathes. That is to say, whether the accuracy of this device itself is level 6 or level 8 is not very important. From the perspective of production efficiency, the speed of cutting, taking flame cutting as an example, depends entirely on factors such as sheet thickness, cutting nozzle model, oxygen purity, gas quality, etc. The movement speed of the equipment should meet and adapt to the requirements of the cutting process. That is to say, cutting efficiency is not directly related to the equipment itself. Of course, CNC iron core cutting machines still demonstrate considerable high precision and efficiency, but this is relative to manual cutting and is not the same concept as the improvement of machining accuracy and efficiency commonly referred to as machine tools. From the above analysis, it can be seen that no matter what manufacturer produces a CNC iron core cutting machine, there will not be much difference in cutting accuracy and production efficiency. Even when comparing small CNC machines as small as over 10000 yuan with imported large CNC machines worth millions, the precision, roughness, and production efficiency of the machined parts will not differ significantly.
Therefore, for equipment that can only perform rough machining due to limitations in processing technology, choosing a CNC iron core cutting machine is not solely based on price, just like for precision machining equipment such as machining centers. Spending a high price to pursue so-called high-end configurations aimed at improving machining accuracy and efficiency is unscientific. Using the most expensive thing on a device does not make it a high-end device. The evaluation of whether a device is high-end should be based on the reliability and effectiveness of its use (accuracy, roughness, production efficiency of its processed parts), rather than the cost of the equipment used, let alone its price.
